M60 Road Widening Amec - McAlpine Joint Venture

One of the biggest road jobs undertaken in  recent years involved a joint venture between construction giants Amec and McAlpine on the western side of the M60 Manchester ring road.

The task of controling and supplying hired in plant on this job fell to Jeff Clague who contacted Performance Pump & Equipment to supply pumps and pumping equipment for a wide range of applications

Durring our initial discussion it was made clear to Performance Pump & Equipment just what the client wanted, they told us they wanted modern up to date equipment that met critical environmental issues such as low noise levels, low emissions and fully bunded fuel tanks to help stop contamination from accidential fuel splillages, but above all Jeff told us he needed dam good service support so that no hold ups or downtime resulted from use of  the equipment

Over the next 18 months to 2 years Performance Pump & Equipment supplied large numbers of  4" diesel driven pumps and 6" diesel driven pumps on applications like bridge structures, stream and river diversions,culvert construction and general excavation dewatering

When the job was completed Performance Pump & Equipment were very please to recieve a letter from Jeff  which he told us to pass on to our staff in it he made the following comments
